Harold Meyerson writes in the August 12 edition of the Washington Post that America needs new factories. He writes that we have lost 30% of our manufacturing base since 1987.  We have been net importers and we need to make "things" again and not just push paper or information around. If we need more factories than we certainly need more industrial hgyienists to ensure the health and safety of the factories' workers and their surrounding communities. Please see weblink.
